Waste Management

trish.JPGGiven the wonderful effort to recycle at the school, we would like this to continue at the Night Market. As a stall-holder, please help us to ensure that this event produces minimum, and hopefully zero, waste.

We are pleased to provide several communal bins for the occasion, divided as follows:

  • Clean paper
  • Plastic, tin and glass
  • Biodegradables (whatever you’d chuck on a compost heap!)
  • Waste (whatever can't be recycled or composted)

Ways you can help:

Please bring along four bins for your stall to correspond with the four communal ones. Your individual bins can be quickly emptied into the relevant communal bin and we hope this will minimize rubbish being mis-filed, as it were.

Try to ensure that any containers, crockery, cutlery etc. you bring are biodegradable. Below is a list of brands to look out for:

Bagasse plates, boxes, cups and bowls – they’re heat and water resistant, oil proof and freezer-friendly.
Plastarch Bioplastic cutlery – can withstand temperatures up to 125C.
